Camp Quest Kansas City is a place for fun, friends and freethought for kids ages 8 to 17. We provide a traditional sleepaway summer camp experience with a wide range of activities, including sports, crafts, games, swimming and campfires. In addition to our traditional summer camp activities, Camp Quest offers educational activities focused on critical thinking, ethics, scientific inquiry, philosophy and comparative religion.

Camp Quest is open to all children and teenagers within the age range, but it is particularly geared toward building a community for children from secular, humanist and other freethinking families. Our goal is to provide a place where children can explore their developing worldviews, ask questions and make friends in an environment that is supportive of critical thinking and skepticism.

Camp Quest Kansas City looks forward to welcoming ALL children this summer! We believe one of our fundamental responsibilities as adults and leaders is to teach our children about the world around them, and that includes giving them an opportunity to learn and interact in a nonjudgmental environment with other children who may come from different backgrounds. Camp Quest is a safe, bully-free environment where all children will be treated with respect and encouraged to understand and accept others, regardless of religious affiliation, race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic that makes them the unique, wonderful individuals that they are. Teaching compassion and empathy for one another is important at Camp Quest -- labels that define our differences are not.
